HOTEL:

POSITION:
Cook.

MAIN SCOPE OF JOB:
As a Cook, you will assist in kitchen operations in your respective section.

OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILTIES:
• Prepare and produce quality food timeously under hygienic conditions
• Maintain kitchen areas for and during service
• Assist in the planning of menus
• Identify defects against operational standard requirements
• Maintain effective controls e.g. stock, operating equipment
• Adhere to Hygiene, Health, Safety and security procedures.
• Apply basic first aid and firefighting procedures
• Attend meetings and pre-shift briefings

PREFERRED SKILLS:
• NTC 3 / Diploma Culinary/ or any other relevant experience
• Good communication skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Fluent in both written and oral English and French
• Ability to work under pressure
