WORK PERMIT:
The work permit for a foreign employee is governed by the "Non-Citizens (Employment Restriction)

Work Permit conditions :
- Only a Mauritian company or a foreign company duly registered in Mauritius (the registrar of companies) in the legal
framework are entitled to apply for a work permit and residence permit for an applicant for a job abroad in his business
and not a recruitment agency or other third party.
- Foreign workers must have the skills, qualifications and experience required for the position they are applying for.
- They must be aged between 20 and 60 years, with an exception for people over age 60 with specific expertise.
- The duration of the work permit is 4 years and may be renewed for another year if the skills of workers are required,
